Our Support Team
Caroline o’donell,
front office manager, veterinary assistant
Caroline, our receptionist, is a native Tucsonan with a lifelong passion for animals. Early on, she cultivated deep roots in the equine community and continues to maintain them to this day. Her experiences living in California, Washington and Oklahoma revealed just how special Tucson, and the community here, really are. She has two corgis, two rescue cats and one very special therapy pony named Lolly. You might just see them walking in Saguaro National Park from time to time.

Including but not limited to: Associates in Social Services, Veterinary assistant/technician, CSR, Mediator (children and families), and family rehabilitation. I have leadership experience and have worked with high stress and aggressive clientele, insurance relations, aggressive dogs/cats/humans, and an array of exotic animals.
Stephanie leong,
Veterinary Technician
I am a Tucson native and was born with a passion for animals. I love reading, art, music, films and travel. I received my Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Arizona in 2002. I worked as a technician here in Tucson for 11 years. I am so happy to be working with such a caring and knowledgeable group of fellow animal lovers. I’m excited to be a part of a team that utilizes all available forms of treatment to give animals the best chance of a happy, healthy, and beautiful life.
Clinic Critters
Spot
Often seen leaping throughout the clinic like a ringtail, Spot is deceptively spry at her advanced age. She’s twenty two years old! Adopted by Dr. Hutchison as a rescue, she was raised with his own family. These days, she’s often found in the reception area lounging on paperwork or the computer keyboard, or gregariously introducing herself to clinic visitors.
Sven
Large and in charge, Sven is a dominating presence. Sven came to us as a temporary rescue, but his fiery and mischievous spirit melted our hearts and won him a forever home in our clinic. You might find him pawing on your treatment room door in the late afternoon, looking for snacks.
Frederic
Frederic is a proud and early-retired show Arabian. He came to us as a SAVER rescue, having been dismissed from his career due to an unfortunate lameness. He loves visitors and carrots, and can often be found poking his head over the stable doors beyond the central round pen.
ZIA
Zia was brought to us to retire and to be with our rescue horse Frederic. She had a successful career in endurance riding but now graces our landscape with beauty.
